UHC - Unified Hospital Communications

2016-In Progress

First of a series of projects that will integrate various electronic systems at 5 facilities including, the Personal Durres Alarm System (PDAS), the Public Address systems, the phone systems, and the Closed Circuit Television systems.

BEDS - Bed Enterprise Data System

2016-In Progress

Will provide real-time bed utilization data statewide. Bed availability will be quickly identifiable statewide based on commitment type, patient needs, and safety by “mapping” available space, and incorporating bed criteria at every hospital. BEDS will also provide real-time, accurate bed utilization reports to stakeholders.

MGN - Medical Grade Network

2015-In Progress

Establish redundant connectivity at 5 facilities to support continual availability of mission critical systems including Electronic Health Records. Project will establish a complete independent secondary connection an LTE wireless tertiary connection, and a VSAT satellite disaster recovery connection with automatic failover.

ASSIST - Automated Staff Scheduling and Information Support Tool

2014-2016

ASSIST was an enterprise scheduling system deployed at 8 geographically disperse facilities. It incorporated complex scheduling rules such as state mandated minimums, bargaining unit agreements, and unit acuity.  Services provided on this project included all project approval activities, all vendor management activities including RFP development and vendor evaluation, project management through implementation and project close out.   

CHaRMS - Central Human Resource Management System

2014-2014

Enterprise employee database that integrates information retrieved from the State Controller’s Office and local HR databases at 9 separate locations to provide critical staff information to enterprise IT projects.

AD - Active Directory Restructuring

2013-2014

Established a single Active Directory for 9 geographically disperse facilities allowing for a single sign-on and reducing the provisioning time for requested user access. Also reduced the number of staff necessary to manage all directories and eliminated the need for multiple accounts for staff that work at more than one location.

Email Consolidation

2013-2014

Migrated 12,000 users from disparate email accounts managed locally at 9 geographically disperse facilities into a single, centrally managed email system while retaining all of their historical emails.

LMS - Learning Management System Implementation

2013-2014

Deployed a Learning Management System for the tracking and management compliance training for DSH clinical staff at the new California Health Care Facility in Stockton.

Telemedicine Implementation

2013-2014

Deploy and configure necessary equipment and peripherals to provide the capability to use teleconferencing and video resources to provide clinical treatment remotely.

PaWSS - Psychiatric and Wellness Support System

2012-2014

Electronic behavioral health clinical system for tracking and monitoring patient recovery plans, group scheduling, medication administration, risk management, and incident management designed specifically for forensic populations..

CHCF - California Health Care Facility

2012-2014

Coordination and deployment of IT components for the activation of a new prison hospital developed jointly between Department of State Hospitals (DSH), California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS). Deployed over 30 IT systems.

Implementation and policy development of portfolio management software.

Citrix implementation

2011-2012

Deployment of a server farm and software to allow secure remote connectivity to the organization's network.

ASAP - Accounting System Automation Project

Automation of accounts receivable and accounts payable monitoring and report generation.

AIM - Administration Information Management

SharePoint Application Development to manage Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) proposal tracking and fund management.
